The Sheer Cover Mineral Makeup Benefits of Using

Article by Jaroslav Krupnik

In this day and age, there are so many different types of makeup that a woman has to choose from. As many women know, that is a good thing; the ingredients in some of the different types of makeup can cause allergic reactions in some women, and some brands of cosmetics frankly do not do the type of cover job that some women think they need.

For this reason, there is an ever-increasing demand for Sheer Cover mineral makeup, and other such brands of cosmetics. There is a common misconception about it that they do not do the same type of job covering up makeup as many of the more popular types of commercial products, and that is just not the case. The only difference between Sheer Cover and traditional cosmetics is that it is made up of different ingredients, some of which are even better for your skin.

Many women do not like traditional makeup because of the way that it comes out. With mineral makeup products, you do not have to be a professional artist for the final product to come out looking great. Anybody can easily apply sheer cover mineral makeup and have it look great, like they got professional help.

The only downside to Sheer Cover is that it is a bit more expensive than some of the traditional cosmetic products out there today, but in all actuality you do get what you pay for. There are a number of other foundations that cost as much if not more for similar products. Also, mineral makeup tends to last a great deal longer as well, so you save time and money having to replace your traditional liquid or powder foundation.

Every woman can benefit from what Sheer Cover mineral makeup products have to offer. Unless there is an allergic reaction involved, most women may even prefer the coverage that Sheer Cover mineral makeup has to offer over the coverage that traditional cosmetics provide. This is because it is made up of natural minerals made from the Earth, making it less harsh on skin that gets sensitive to other types of makeup.

In addition, if you have blemishes or dark patches on your skin from acne or a similar skin disorder, Sheer Cover will give you an even, clear complexion which is natural.

For those women out there who are frustrated with the coverage that their current cosmetics are providing, or for those who are sensitive to the ingredients in traditional commercial cosmetics, it is certainly worth giving Sheer Cover mineral makeup a try. There is nothing like a flawless, natural base color foundation and combined with the fact that Sheer Cover mineral makeup is easier to apply than traditional liquid or powder foundations, you just can not lose.

Using the correct products for you

Skin types differ with the varying types requiring varying products to maintain the skin’s condition. This is not limited to skin, but hair types as well. As we know the pigmentation of darker skin is very different to that of fairer skinned people. People with darker skin need to use Afro products that have been especially designed to cater to the requirements of darker skins.

Darker skins have the advantage of having melanin, which helps keep the skin smoother and younger looking for longer. There is less pigmentation than in the case of fairer skins. However, as a result darker skins tend to be oilier, which while is good for looking younger, needs to be controlled by using the correct products. If the skin has oily tendencies then aim at washing it more regularly so as to control and diminish the shine. Products like Palmers Eventone Complexion Soap would be ideal for this purpose. After washing, use a toner that evens out the oil, without drying up the skin. After all, the oil is essential to maintain the smooth elasticity of the skin for a youthful appearance. The benefits of moisturising cannot be stressed enough, even for dark skin. Simply because it naturally has more oil it does not mean that moisturising can be ignored. Using a product dedicated to darker skin ensures that only the problem spots are targeted without the entire face being simply slathered in thick cream. Afro products are lightweight leaving the skin feeling gently moisturised without a thick covering.

Afro hair needs extra special attention and should be looked after and maintained with very specific products. It should be constantly conditioned so as to minimize the dryness and make it more manageable. Hot oil treatment can work wonders for hair making it less brittle. If the hair is braided a product like Sta Sof Fro Braid can be used to spray directly onto the braid, conditioning the hair while maintaining the style. Using hair food formulas specially designed to promote healthy hair growth is essential and helps the hair strengthen and deal with the rigours of the different styles and chemicals we use to maintain those styles. Many with Afro hair tend to nowadays relax their hair, and while the end result is nice, it takes a toll on the hair. If relaxing is done or being contemplated a deep conditioning is essential, one that is specifically designed for afro hair.

For a range of Afro products such as shampoos, conditioners and moisturisers at a reasonable price browse East End Cosmetics and purchase the specifically designed products, cheap makeup aimed at helping maintain darker skin and hair. Targeting problems pertaining to Afro skin and hair these products are essential for the healthy maintenance of Afro skin and hair.

Using the Right Makeup Brushes for a Professional Salon Look

Right makeup brush for foundation and powders is just as important as the foundation makeup itself. New makeup brushes should be washed before using to remove any leftover residue, excess dye and loose hairs from the manufacturing process. A powder blush is the largest brush you should have in collection. This brush is used to set the finishing powder onto your face and help soften your foundation. If you have never tried a professional makeup brush with your minerals, you will be amazed at the difference it will make. Eye-shadow brushes are designed to give you just the right amount of color to the lid without looking like. A great thing about an eye-shadow brush is that it can easily help to blend more than one eye shadow without leaving behind lines.

After your brushes have a good bath, brush them off a little on a clean paper towel and lay them to dry on their side on a paper towel or a regular towel. It is also a good idea to reshape the brush at this point in time to prevent splaying. If you have a steady enough hand, eyeliner brushes are great for softening pencil lines. The brush is a wide; flat shaped that can be used wet or dry. For even coverage lip brushes are generally the smallest of makeup brushes and are designed to line the inside of your lips for even coverage. Lastly, let brushes dry completely before using. Dry time will depend on size and brush density. Keeping your brushes in good condition by washing frequently will provide you with years of beautiful makeup application.

Various Makeup Brushes

1. A foundation brush has a flat shape and long bristles.

2. Choosing the right brushes does not have to be a tricky process.

3. Eyeliner brushes to apply liquid eye shadow or to blend eye shadow around the eyes for a smoky.

4. Powder brush is used to dust loose powder over your face, setting your makeup and eliminating any shine.

5. Eye-shadow brushes are designed to give you just the right amount of color to the lid without looking like you just caked it on there.

Using Makeup Artist Products to Contour Your Features

Article by John Howell

What is contouring? It’s simply the act of using makeup to visually change or highlight the appearance of your face.

Want higher cheekbones? A thinner face? A slimmer nose? It’s all about contouring! Makeup artists have used these secrets for years to help clients achieve the look they desire.

Now you can embrace these secrets too with makeup artist products that make contouring easier. Here’s what you’ll need to get started.

Foundation – this is the first product you’ll want when contouring your face. Using a foundation in the color closest to your skin type, gently layer it on as you normally would.

This step will help set the first tone in your work towards contouring your face. It will provide the base, so to speak, to build the rest of your look off of.

Be sure to blend your foundation gently into your hairline and down around the skin of your jaw line and chin.

Bronzer – You’ll want to choose a bronzer that’s one to two shades darker than your natural skin tone. This is the makeup artist product you’ll be using to do the real work of contouring.

If you want to make your cheeks look slimmer, use a large rounded brush to trace a line of bronzer just below your natural cheek bones. Keep the line you make parallel to your jawbone.

If you want to make your nose look slimmer, use the bronzer to create vertical lines on either side of your nose. It will naturally draw the eye to the slimmest part of your nose.

Lastly, if you’d like to slim your chin, trace just under it with the bronzer and take care to blend well.

Powder – To finish off the look, you can’t forget about powder. When you’re contouring, powder is what separates you from looking like you’re wearing makeup and looking natural.

Use a large round or kabuki style brush. Tap off any excess powder and apply in large circles all over your face, being sure to sweep the brush under your chin and jaw to blend the entire look.

Now that you’ve had a small primer in what contouring is, don’t be afraid to experiment with it.

The truth is, contouring isn’t the simplest makeup technique to master, but once you get it, you’ll be able to tailor it to your features with ease. Practice makes perfect!

Men Using Makeup Gets More Exposure – Acceptable Practice for Men to Apply Makeup

Men Using makeup? Back when I was in my teens and early twenties, I didn’t care at all about my appearance. I did take a daily shower, but after that and a quick combing of the hair and brushing of the teeth, I was done. If my memory serves me, I was far from alone in my disregard for the trappings of male beauty.

However, over the course of the last 30 years there has been a very clear increase in the level of male vanity evidenced by men in our society. To date it has focused largely on hair care (both styling and grooming products), toiletries and colognes, moisturizers to block the effects of sun exposure, and to a lesser degree, adornments such as earrings and tattoos. And in recent years we have also witnessed the rise of the so-called metrosexual.

But lately something new has cleared the men’s fashion horizon. More and more men are not just finishing their morning shave and heading off to work – but are adding a new component to their daily regime – makeup.
Yes, there is no doubt about it, male vanity is on the rise. Notwithstanding that the devil-may-care attitude towards beautifying ourselves is still the prevailing view, an ever-increasing number of modern men are applying makeup to their formerly innocent faces.

Their reasons for doing so are, I think, largely the same as those of women, except that for the latter, there exists a cultural norm for beautifying themselves. It is a little difficult to be sure though, as most men who use makeup are very reluctant to talk about it, especially with their male friends. But it would seem self-evident that they have taken to using cosmetics in order to mask facial imperfections, hide signs of aging skin and generally to become more appealing to the opposite sex.

A typical male user of makeup might apply an exfoliating facial scrub; followed by an eye gel to mask any dark circles around his eyes; and complete the daily routine with a light powdering to reduce the shininess of his face. Foundations and concealers might also enter the picture. Men report that the response from women justifies their daily ritual.

More and more specialty shops are opening, both in the nation’s malls and online, to take advantage of this growing market. As there is still a bit of a stigma out there about men buying products to improve their attractiveness, my guess is that the online market might be a more comfortable buying environment for many men, especially those Marlboro men amongst us. And while I’m in a guessing mood, I bet many men wouldn’t have the slightest idea how to apply makeup products to their face, so that might incline one to make his purchases from an actual retail store, where advice on application can be had.

I think that, like other social phenomena, as men using makeup gets more exposure in the media, the ‘macho’ hurdles and impediments will start to crumble and it will become, if not the norm, certainly an acceptable practice for men to apply makeup. It really isn’t much of a leap from men with blow dryers for their hair, to men with makeup kits. And if, as is commonly reported, it makes the man feel more self-confident and heightens his attractiveness to women, there really is no reason to expect that ‘men with makeup’ is a fad that will pass with time.
